Bryan J. Marascalchi, MD is a graduate of Syracuse University in the Renée Crown University Honors Program with a degree in biology. He then graduated New York University School of Medicine with a research fellowship at the NYU affiliated New York Spine Institute in bioinformatics and biodesign with a specific focus on large database management and analysis, clinical trials, and healthcare software development. After a transitional year at Weill Cornell Medicine affiliated Lincoln Medical Center, he matriculated into the Johns Hopkins residency in Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine, and will continue his role as a physician treating patients suffering from chronic pain as a fellow in the Johns Hopkins pain medicine fellowship.
His career in Anesthesiology and pain management has been inspired by his enthusiasm for entrepreneurship, advancing current knowledge, and improving the quality of life of patients and their families. He is well-published with over twenty manuscripts and abstracts accepted to academic journals, and has found entrepreneurial success with his extensive ability for healthcare device prototyping, inventing and patenting, software development, and web and mobile development. As a physician and patient advocate, he holds a position with his state’s professional society where he has worked with legislators and regulators for the past two years to better understand the complex healthcare transformation that is occurring currently. He looks to the future, and aims to combine his experiences in healthcare technology, quality improvement, physician and patient advocacy and large data management and analysis in order to advance our current knowledge within the field of medicine.
