Even before Theodora came to work at DKC, I was aware of her given her significant social-media following and that invaluable experience building her own profile was something that she was quickly able to leverage here for her clients and draw upon to provide insight to her colleagues. So while there are many who claim expertise in this space, she has the background to back it up and add to the efforts of any organization that brings her on.
Source: LinkedIn Matthew Caldecutt May 22, 2013Theodora provided social media and blogger relations support for New Balance during her time at DKC. She is EXTREMELY knowledgable about the blogger and social media world, especially the fitness and health side. Theodora is creative, responsive, reliable and her great sense of humor and positive attitude make her a pleasure to work with every day.
Source: LinkedIn Jennifer Keddy May 22, 2013Theodora is one of the most talented bloggers I know. At Turner PR, she's always on our active lifestyle influencer lists with her approachable, honest and informative content. She's strategic and creative and routinely asks, "how can we make this bigger?" With a strong, dedicated network of readers and willingness to give anything a try, she should be on everyone's radar for fitness expertise and content creation.
Source: LinkedIn Jillian Smith May 22, 2013I have had the pleasure of working with Theodora on multiple social media projects and presentations, and am thrilled to recommend and endorse her work as a writer, a social media marketer, a public speaker and community leader.
Theodora has an incredible work ethic, and I find her writing and communication skills to be refreshingly clear and authoritative. She commands expertise in multiple topics, and has proven to be a thorough and accurate researcher for topics where she needs extra information.
In addition to having strong writing skills, Theodora has a great skill for leading presentations and speaking in public. She is able to educate people about complicated and often thorny issues while making it fun and entertaining.
I look forward to answering any questions you have about Theodora and my experience in working with her!
Source: LinkedIn Kathryn Widrick May 22, 2013Theodora had an extremely challenging role at HFMUS. She was tasked with establishing social media strategy for the Woman's Day brand with little understanding on the part of the brand team, and with very little support. That said, she was tenacious about bringing opportunities and strategies to the team, and very focused on implementing on behalf of the brand as well as in working with advertisers. Theodora clearly understands the value of and impact that social media can contribute. In this changing media landscape she would be a valuable addition to the team.
Source: LinkedIn Rachel Glickman May 22, 2013I have managed Theodora directly for two years in her role as External Communications Co-Chair at the New York Junior League. Theodora is a dynamic and charismatic leader whose passion inspires her volunteers. In her first year in her chair role, ECC was faced with needing to recruit quite a few new members at the beginning of the volunteer year. Theodora reached out to possible committee members and made sure new volunteers felt engaged and valued from the beginning.
As well, Theodora excels at big-picture thinking, but doesn't miss any of the details. She is smart and listens with an open mind to the thoughts and concerns of others and always works to reach consensus.
Her professionalism and industry expertise have also helped her committee to achieve placements in the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, the New York Post and the New York Daily News.
I recommend Theodora without hesitation, and am happy to elaborate via phone or private email.
Theodora and I worked together on the Woman's Day twitter account. She provided expert guidance and consultation as to the best steps to take in terms of implementing strategy, increasing the number of followers and fostering more engagement. She was readily accessible, knowledgable of the new trends in social media and adept at interpreting what would be most beneficial for the WD account. I would absolutely work with Theodora again and highly recommend her work to anyone looking for a smart, savvy social media expert. Plus, she's a fantastic blogger to boot!
Source: LinkedIn Abigail Cuffey May 22, 2013Theodora worked on my social media team for 1.5 years. Theodora proved her knowledge and practical social media experience immediately. She is passionate about social endeavors in her non-professional life and quite frankly, this brought so many advantages to the team. Her knowledge of user interactions, behavior, and overall experience provided great input to our plans and execution. She will, most certainly, be a valuable asset to an organization that is committed to delivering successful social programs.
Source: LinkedIn Steve Goldner May 22, 2013Theodora was a great editor who helped me and my fellow writers develop ideas, often on an aggressive deadline. She has a great sense of humor and is fun to work for, but she also wasn't afraid to push me when I needed to dig deeper into a story. While we were at Campaigns and Elections together, she juggled editing duties for the magazine and four regional Web sites but always had time to answer a question or handle a problem if I needed her.
Source: LinkedIn Beth LaMontagne Hall May 22, 2013Theodora is one of the most kind and gracious young women I have ever met. She is well read, capable, very smart, and armed with great ideas and enthusiasm for the work at hand. She also has the enviable habit of charming the pants off anyone she takes a meeting with. She's a delight to work with.

ECElinor Cohen (The Social Fairy)Engagement Strategist, Community Manager • Universal CitizenI am an Engagement Strategist (Combination of Community Management, Content Marketing, Online Marketing and Social PR), dedicated to helping brands grow, evolve and engage. Founder of The Social Fairy (2012) and Co-Founder of Litchi Online Marketing (2014). I started out as a Community Manager, but very quickly realized that what I can do and what I provide my clients with, is far more than just Community Management. You see, Community Management is not just about ads, websites and social media. Community Management is about HUMAN EXPERIENCE, CONNECTION and COMMUNICATION! So as it turned out, I took what is called Community Manager and expanded it. I have been doing more than just online customer service and Social Media management. I have been creating worlds of content for brands, hacking the growth of Start-ups, planning and launching services, products, crowd funding campaigns, doing PR online, Investor relations, blogger relations and so much more. Social Media and websites were just some of the tools I have been mastering and utilizing for the benefit of my clients. And I have been doing it all with a focus on people and community. I took Community Management to the next level and introduced the Engagement Strategy. In 2011 I started working on the idea of the Social Fairy and helping some clients. Early January 2012 I founded the Social Fairy officially. It had its ups and downs but overall my “baby” survives and many brands, companies, start-ups and accelerator programs have been enjoying growth and success by adopting the notion of Community Management and expanded Engagement Strategy. I love to study (yes, you can say it... I'm a geek!), read books, photograph and cook. I write poetry and paint and I am a crazy cat lady! I have a gift for languages and I speak 6 of them.
