I'm a dual citizen, American / Turkish, attended international schooling for 10 years, American University (Washington DC) Kogod School of Business, 2007-2011 graduate, major in International Business & Management. Have been working in the startup ecosystem in Istanbul for the past 2.5 years, doing various roles at multiple startups. Most recently I graduated TEB-BNP Paribas Incubator with a digital loyalty product for SMBs. In the senior-level management course that Rick took with me, it was apparent that he was a creative and motivated person who cared about both business results and the people around him. USEA hired Rick in the fall of 2011 to serve as a consultant and provide translation and interpretation services for multiple international energy partnerships in Turkey involving Bangladesh and Pakistan. Rick's document translation and interpretation skills were critical to laying the foundation for a successful ongoing partnership between senior-level utility executives. He was reliable, personable and effective at facilitating multilingual technical meetings between industry experts. Despite a lack of technical experience in the energy sector, Rick was able to learn quickly, meeting and exceeding our expectations.
