MenuWhat's an easy and cheap online transaction service?
I have a marketplace website that get people to offer their services. What would be an easy way to provide a way so that buyers can pay with paypal or CC, and seller can receive the money (through us)
Answers
PayPal offers a service that includes all card types and PayPal. There are also numerous other providers in the marketplace depending on if you are using a shopping cart, hosted payment page or international acceptance.
I have been in the electronic payments acceptance space for 20+ years so feel free to reach out.
You will want to choose Bitcoin if you are future thinking. Buttercoin.com is building an infrastructure for institutions that want to get into local and international payments.
There are several of them that might be helpful to you when it comes to easy and cheap online transaction service for instance:
1. Due
More recently, Due has allowed users to start accepting secure online payments for just a 2.7 percent transaction rate. Due also accepts global payments, which typically occur within two business days, as well as a digital wallet to send or receive money to anyone in the world instantly with little to no cost.
2. Stripe
Stripe has fascinated users for the last couple of years with its powerful and flexible API. This means that you can tailor the platform to meet your specific needs, whether you’re running a subscription-based company or an on-demand marketplace.
3. Apple Pay
Transactions are faster and more secure, since Apple Pay uses touch ID confirmation. Also, word on the street is that Apple is working on a P2P payments system within iMessage.
4. Payoneer
Receiving payments is free, and the platform includes a flexible API that grows with your business.
5. Amazon Payments
If you want to give customers peace of mind, then accept payments through Amazon.
6. Square
Square changed the game when it introduced its magstripe reader, allowing business owners to swipe credit cards anywhere for a 2.75 percent transaction fee per swipe.
7. Payza
With this popular service, you can send or receive payments from anyone in the world in just a matter of minutes.
8. Venmo
In other words, it is like a hybrid of PayPal and a social network like Facebook, since transactions are shared on an online feed.
9. Intuit GoPayment
Intuit is almost indispensable for a small business owner. Besides being able to accept payments both online and in person with the mobile Go Payment credit card processor, Intuit can assist you with payroll and calculating taxes. Today, online businesses have more payment platform options than ever before. Each platform comes with its own advantages and fallbacks, and it is up to you to find out which is best for your business.

What is the best way for a fin-tech (mobile wallet) startup to approach a bank for an operational partnership? For eg. Stripe & Wells Fargo
Depending on the market, a bank is going to look at a combination of low-cost customer acquisition (particularly in strategic growth segments), mass-market desposit mobilization, credit portfolio growth and fee-based income. The respective weight of these, in terms of relative importance, will depend on the bank and its strategic objectives. It will also vary based in whether you are talking to an acquiring or an issuing bank. The best way to approach a bank is therefore to identify which core business element your startup is best positioned to support, and which bank is likelier to find the value prop attractive. I would suggest talking to the head of retail banking, the head of credit business and the head of acquiring business.AM

Advise on ecommerce.
Such solutions are wiedly available to current ecommerce business. Question you would have to ask yourself if what makes your different, what is unique in your product that is not currently available. You are targeting (basically) 2 types of customers: 1. Those who already have a solution in place 2. THose who are opening their ecommerce business now (maybe due to COVID-19) situation. You need to have selling strategy for both. By that I mean they way you find them, make contact and explain to them painpoints that you are looking to solve if they were to implement your solution. Please also remember that when dealing with payment service, you are probably facing ton of regulations that you need to follow - I would be sure that you have that in place before you push further. Security angle is also very important. Good luck!ML

Anyway to setup recurring payment daily at specific time or time window in Paypal or any other processor?
Most payment processors on the internet have a Recurring Billing option to bill for a specific interval for a specific recurrence count. I recall Authorized.net specifically does it and can meet PCI compliance. Most processors offer recurring option but may not provide a daily option. You may need to a custom solution such as Authorized.net Customer Information Manager (CIM) for dynamic recurring billing (you bill your customers different amounts or on different days each month).MB
