MenuWhich B2B business model to follow?
Answers
Hi,
Each of these two has pros and cons.
1) Why would suppliers take the time to do this unless you can guarantee them sales? If you go this route, your solution requires more complexity (UI for suppliers etc.) but means you will be more scalable.
20 This is a big burden on you but you are not relying on suppliers.
Is there a way you can automate the listing of product from integration with suppliers' systems?
Your customers don't care about your back-office processes - only what products you offer and your quality of service.
Also, how your products are listed on your site (manual entry from you, the supplier, auto entry by an integration etc.) is separate from how you make the purchase (indirectly as you suggest or directly from the supplier's systems.
Happy to have a call to discuss technical options which can then be considered and researched which best meet business requirements.
Kind regards
Stuart
Option 1 is possible if you have the traffic. Also, it is harder to market and difficult to build a brand cos your website would be a middleman rather than the identity your customers engage with.
As an MVP, I would definintely go with the second option. It is much simpler to test out, implement and test out. You'll be focusing your energy on customer rather that the tech itself.

What's the best platform to build a e-bookstore?
I think a natural choice is large provides like Amazon. However, if you want to sell eBooks on your own and maintain all of the revenue, then WooCommerce and Easy Digital Downloads would make excellent options. Both software packages are WordPress plugins and they make it very easy to deploy an e-commerce store for digital goods. Both plugins have strong development teams behind them and they have a slew of independent freelancers who can offer assistance if needed. I've used WooCommerce myself for multiple years and we've deployed many WordPress websites that use it. It has hundreds of extensions you can add on to it for maximizing the potential.RG

What's the average CAC value or range for a Marketplace client?
I think you're looking at this the wrong way. Your customer acquisition cost is not something you should benchmark against other businesses. Without knowing more, like your short and long-term goals, it's impossible to answer. Two companies with similar business models may have different answers to this question. A venture-backed startup trying to keep up with aggressive revenue goals may be able to stomach an astronomical CAC. A bootstrapped startup that is not seeking venture money may aim for slower growth and much lower CAC. I suggest setting up a call with a marketing or finance expert to determine what CAC is appropriate for your company and how to get there.TL

What is the best growth hacking strategy for a travel website?
Before you spend $ or time marketing your service / website, ensure that your brand itself is quite strong. For example, if your name or domain is awkward, ambiguous, or off-putting, then every dollar and hour you spend promoting your brand will work less efficiently in your favor than if you were spending the same amount of money and time marketing something more robust and attractive.JP

Which e-commerce platform is the best for selling products globally?
Hi, Thanks for clarifying your business model. This helps me help you better. So, as part of strategy, I would suggest you to begin with global e-commerce giant, Amazon. Furthermore, I would suggest you to keep it exclusively on Amazon. You can tell your existing customers to purchase your products on amazon and give them a coupon which they can use to get a discount. Also ask for their reviews (there are multiple ways to do that). This helps you keep up the numbers that acts as a social proof on Amazon. People looking for the products you sell will find you product in the search results. Since you have taken care of the numbers (sales & reviews) Amazon will promote your product to the top of the search result and hence increase the sales. Meanwhile, I'd suggest you to create your own website and market it across all marketing channels like search engine, social media & email. This includes bringing in customers via blogging, content marketing, videos, social media posts and newsletter. Once you have a decent number of user base, you can then shift your focus from amazon to your own website. The reason why you should consider your own website, is that Amazon is only getting 30% of every sale it makes (which is also the main reason why you should build your own website), so Amazon will increase its margin by selling same products as their own and rank it atop. At the end of the day, you don't own the customers on amazon, or any platform for that matter. So in order to reach global customer base and increase profit margins, you should rely, invest & take very seriously on your own e-commerce website. You can do that using shopify or Woocommerce+Wordpress. This is a 10,000 feet overview how I would get started with e-commerce business & this is how I have helped many of my clients. If you need any help, feel free to book a call & I'll help you strategize in detail.SD

What are the profit margins for high end home decor and furniture?
Hone decor / furniture industry is one of the highest profit promising industry today. The profit margins on home decor ranges from 20% - 45% depend on the price of the product. If you're looking to get quickly popular, I suggest you start with the online store and promote it on offline as well. Keep the margins low initially so that you can attract more buyers. As the business grows, reinvest the amount back on the business so that you can stock more varieties. All the very best.KK
