MenuHi, I am about to launch a travel app. I was wondering how should I go about attracting paying customers when we haven't got many users.
So, Basically our application helps users to plan their travel, visa requirement and other cultural aspects of the destination countries. Connect travelers with local tour guide. We save travelers time and make travel painless.

There's a lot of marketplaces where you could promote the app to avid travelers. I work mostly in the travel space, and building an audience is always the hardest part, especially since there's so much competition.
You have two great options, and the first I'd say is to create a press release.
You can get listed on a wide variety of networks and get media exposure and brand awareness to start boosting your user base. For all of those new users, implement a follow-up strategy that encourages them to become paid users within 2 weeks.
Happy to chat further!
Hi,
This is a very broad question, and some crucial information is missing - this means that any practical answer given won't be accurate enough for your needs (I'll explain):
There is a different marketing strategy for each of the services that you provide, and for each of your target market groups (types of users). For example, I assume that some people are only looking for help with the Visa aspect, and others want the private tour guide service.
My advice would be for you to first check:
1. Which service is the most expensive/costly to market (cost per user)?
2. Which of your services are most profitable (per user, after marketing expenses)?
3. Which of your services is the most sought after/requested (not specifically from you, but in the market in general)? and by which type of user (for example, the most sought after service is assistance with Visas and the target market is usually 30-45 year olds from US)? Knowing the age group, for example, helps you determine where to market your service (for example you would prefer to not advertise this specific service on Instagram).
You can check all the above with a fairly low marketing budget.
Only after you have the above information should you start marketing, because this way you will market the most profitable service to the best suited target market. After you start with this, you can market your other services (if you choose to).
I've successfully helped over 300 entrepreneurs and I'd be happy to help you. Good luck
It's not the paying users that determine who is interested in the product. It's the value you add to those who are traveling. When you highlight this with your messaging and channels, it creates a difference in who responds and how.
I know from working in the travel industry (and traveling myself), that there is a lot of value to the app that specific target markets would go for. But you have to identify who they are, what customer journey they go on and how (as well as when) they would respond to you and become fans. When you map that out, it will become easier to target and use specific channels that get results.
I can help you more, if you would like. :)
Yes i have a good idea for attract customers and easy got money. You can talk personal call and i help you about this question
There are a lot of startups out there that's doing this right now. Even big companies are doing this. The travel industry is a competitive space.
Depending on your goals, there are a lot of different ways to approach it. I would do a good amount of content marketing because it requires a very low budget and can help you grow organic searches for your services in the long run.
Start with pushing out a lot of guides before even launching the product and start building your email list, so that you will have a bunch of loyal users once you launch.
Please never forget that you are solving problems being faced by the travellers so as a special focus join various groups on FaceBook and other social media sites. Further post various articles and short videos focused to solve problems faced by the prospective travellers. I wish you all the best
Your low hanging fruit may be partnering exclusively with:
1. a bridal magazine site
2. a wedding registry site
The travel-related services you offer are great for honeymooners and babymoons.
Startup travel:
1. partner with Y Combinator, et. al
In each case offer an exclusive service package. You could process purchases in a way that provides a percentage to the partnering platform. I'm available to detail this process on a call.

How do I assess the chances of success of my yet to be launched Mobile App?
Success is entirely subjective and dependent on too specifics unique to your situation. For example, are you currently pursuing your app as a hobbyist, hopeful it will augment your spending money but not expecting it to replace your annual salary? Or are you expecting to raise outside investor money based on this definition of success? Even then, the metrics for an enterprise app versus a game, versus a utility are entirely different, regardless of what your financial expectations are. So given that none of us who can answer this question for you know enough about what you're doing, I can give you the most helpful generalized advice: Outstanding success of any mobile app, should be defined by user love. Of course, love can take many forms from addictive ("I can't quit you") to bliss ("everytime I use this, it just makes me feel better") but the sign of outstanding success of a mobile app, is that it is widely loved by the people that use it. They could use it once a day, a week, a month or whatever (again context matters), but that every time they use it, they love it. When users love something, they tell the creator, they talk about it publicly and on social media, and it's generally well reviewed (there can be exceptions). So you could define "moderate success" as being liked, but I really don't know why anyone would want to "settle" for moderate success. The experience of being widely liked is probably best experienced by a group of users going "man, I like what you're doing, but when are you going to do this, or I'd like it even more if it did this" If you're getting that type of feedback from a good portion of users, then you know you've still got a chance to get to being loved. Define success of your app by user love. Not even reviews (though they can sometimes be a barometer for love), pure love. Happy to talk to you in a quick call. I'm sure that with the missing pieces of information from you, I could quickly answer the question you're asking with the specifics you seek.TW

What day and time is best to release an app for best exposure?
The best day to launch your app is either Wednesday night or Thursday, because the iOS App Store changes features every Thursday and you may get featured that day as "New games..." "New app..." etc. Ideally all your marketing/PR/advertising efforts should start that day (Thursday) because Apple likes it when an app is being privately promoted at the same time it's being featured. Yes AdMob could work for you but please know that there are many other ad placement companies similar to AdMob that can work for you too. You need to see what kind of clients they have, if they match with your niche, etc. Usually this is a trial and error process, you start with several ads and you see which works and which doesn't, you improve, you cut them. etc. Good luckEN

What's considered "Traction" in the B2C app world these days?
Mobile app that has launched: You need ALL of the following: 1) Trending towards or at 100000 installs within first 90 days of launch; 2) Day 30 retention rate of at least 20% 3) Core "MTM" (metric that matters) healthy (dependent on business model, usage model etc) 4) Evidence that growth is just "getting started" with plenty of upside left. I have a plan for a travel website, but I don't have the skills to bring it to action. What steps should I follow?
As I understand , you have domain expertise in travel industry and have a unique idea that you think will is needed in the market. I also assume that you did some study and came to conclusion that website is what you need (Not mobile first .. re-think !!) If you are a first time found I would strongly suggest you to understand the "Lean Start-Up" way (http://theleanstartup.com/) . I have developed products for big enterprises and for small businesses and and done my own couple startups in the past that ended up in the graveyard (No product market fit). Step 1 - Put up a landing page and validate your idea (https://medium.com/@joelgascoigne/how-to-successfully-validate-your-idea-with-a-landing-page-mvp-ef3c2d02dc51) You probably can do this under $50 Step 2 - While your idea was getting validated, you would have collected some emails. Talk to them and figure out the appetite and try to pre-sell the product or service.. Step 3 - Create an MVP. Unless you have something totally unique and unconventional, most of the data driven web products can be created using a word-press or any similar frameworks. Step 4 - Consult a technologist on how to go about it and get a landscape and roadmap developed. Ask for help to vett the right freelancer or part timer for this job Step 5 - If the version 1 makes you any money..man !! you made it.. double down ..At this point you can think of rebuilding the backend etc with the better architecture. These are no 5 magic steps .. I wrote it as I was thinking it loud. Feel free to contact .. ..and good luck !!NJ

How do you take an app idea and turn it into an app? Who will help make the app? How do you connect it through social media? How much does it cost?
Having gone through this multiple times either in new startups or for side projects, here is how I would approach turning your idea into an app. 1. Defining the Minimum Viable Product Your first goal with any new idea should be about proving the idea and finding a market that wants the app you want to build. Achieving that quickly is probably one of the most important thing. To achieve that, you will need to write the specifications that will constitute your MVP. The MVP is basically the simplest expression of your idea to prove it. This step should not cost you much as you can do this on your own. 2. Design the app Before starting any development work, I would suggest you work with a good UX/UI designer to create wireframes and mockups of the app based on the specifications you came up with in step 1. You can find good designers in meetups & hackathons or on website like Dribbble or 99designs. If you want to reduce your costs, you can give shares in the project to the designer. Otherwise, it really depend on the size of the MVP but I would say it will probably cost between $5K-$10K. 3. Develop the app Once you have the specifications and the design of the app, you now need to find a good developer that will build it. Again, you can find good developers in meetups & hackathons or on sites like Github. If you want to reduce your costs, you can give shares in the project to the developer. Otherwise, it really depend on the size of the MVP but I would say it will probably cost between $10K-$25K. For this part however, I would recommend the developer becomes part of the project as his engagement will most likely be higher. 4. Test the app This step is not only about making sure the app is bug free, it's also making sure the app does what was intended in the specifications. To test the app, you can use platforms like BrowserStack or SauceLabs which gives you access to multiple devices/browsers. You can do this step on your own so the cost will be for the subscription to the test platform which would be around $100/month. Hope this helps and good luck with your project.VL
