I'm using Teachable.com and so far I really like it. I'm producing a course on "How to get massive amounts of free PR" that I will be launching in March 2018.
Congrats on preparing to launch your online course. From personal experience, I know that they are a fun and lucrative way to grow your business and your brand.
There are a few approaches to hosting your online course. There are options like Teachable and Thinkific - both are solid choices.
They are both on the easier-to-setup end of the spectrum. I recommend them for your MVP (Minimum Viable Product) to test your theory or prove your concept. The ease of use comes with a notable trade off: neither offer a tremendous amount of customization options.
I prefer WordPress-based LMS (Learning Management System) because of the power and flexibility of WordPress. Many work with ecommerce solutions like WooCommerce and can expand to accommodate your course as it grows. In this category, I recommend LearnDash or LifterLMS.
If you have specific questions about how to launch your course, how to vet your ideas before you commit to choosing a platform, or how to market it, contact me or set up a consulting call here on Clarity.
All the best,
-Shaun
This is something I have been researching for a while now as we have built many courses in the past and have tried a lot of softwares.
The ones I really like are:
1. Teachable
They have a great platform and courses are all they do. They make it very easy and hands off to create an awesome course with very little worries and tech skills.
2. Clickfunnels
They also have a great "Membership" / "Course" option which we have used in the past. There is a learning curve here and requires more tech skills but overall is still great. You do have a tad more control with this option and can customize more things which you can't do in Teachable.
Currently, i'm personally moving forward with Teachable as we will be launching a few courses around How to build a writing team and how to outline and structure a blogging strategy in the B2B space. Teachable allows us to just focus on the content and makes it easy.
Hope this helps and if I can help in any way let me know
Tyler
For me, I've used a ton, but I fell in love with Thinkific when I started using it. It hosts my videos, makes it super easy to make courses (and bundle them) and it has an affiliate program built in. I didn't need anymore. They also have flexible pricing.www.schoolofpodcasting.com/thinkific
Of course, the choice of tool or platform for creating an online course depends on your specific needs, goals, and budget. However, one of the best tools that provides extensive capabilities for creating and managing online courses is a Learning Management System (LMS).
An LMS allows you to create courses, upload content, manage students, track progress, and much more. There are numerous LMS options on the market, such as Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, and others. Each has its own advantages and disadvantages, so it's worth researching and selecting the one that best suits your requirements.
Regarding the cost of developing an LMS, it can vary depending on various factors such as functionality, design, integrations, etc. If you're interested in learning more about how to calculate the cost of developing an LMS, I would recommend reading this article: https://www.cleveroad.com/blog/how-much-does-it-cost-to-build-an-lms/. It provides useful information and examples of cost estimation.

What is the best country to start an online marketing and design business in?
I have registered over 20 companies in the last decade and from my experience I can tell you that every country serves a different purpose. I run a small gambling company that I have registered in Malta due to the legality of online gambling there. I have another company registered in Delaware, whilst my main company is registered in the Netherlands. If your business is only online I would advise you to register it in Europe or if you must in the United States in Delaware/Nevada. Credibility wise I would say that registering your company in Singapore or Malta or Costa Rica, will not benefit you much opposed to say Delaware or The Netherlands. I am available for a call if you need anymore help. I am currently doing a promotion for a one time free 15 minute phone call so just send me a message for the discount code.GS

What's the average CAC value or range for a Marketplace client?
I think you're looking at this the wrong way. Your customer acquisition cost is not something you should benchmark against other businesses. Without knowing more, like your short and long-term goals, it's impossible to answer. Two companies with similar business models may have different answers to this question. A venture-backed startup trying to keep up with aggressive revenue goals may be able to stomach an astronomical CAC. A bootstrapped startup that is not seeking venture money may aim for slower growth and much lower CAC. I suggest setting up a call with a marketing or finance expert to determine what CAC is appropriate for your company and how to get there.TL

About to launch our new eCommerce website selling well priced unique watches. What is the best initial marketing strategy to use with minimal cost?
Here are some answers for you that I believe will help you. 1. You should implement a long term and short term strategy right at the beginning. What I mean is that there are essential parts to your marketing like SEO and content marketing that you need to implement right in the beginning, but will take a while to filter through, but these are essential if you want to have organic traffic. That would be L-T. The best for Short term for a newly launched site is ad's. Word of warning though. Know your customers demographics such as age, income, education etc, know your competitors demographics and then find the platform (such as social media channels) where your ideal customer is based on those researched demographics and then roll out targeted ad's for them. 2. You have to implement social media strategies right from the beginning of course, based on your demographic research. 3. Get busy Blogging - start with content marketing now. 4. Sweepstakes - start a giveaway to get traction with clients and create awareness. 5. Make sure you collect emails as these are like gold dust for future email marketing. 6. Video marketing is essential for competitive retail space and very powerful to get found on search engines like Google. Prior to me launching my digital marketing business 5 years ago, I built an online retail business and made many expensive mistakes. And they can be costly if not implemented correctly from the beginning. So in summary: SEO - very important, Ad's, Social Media, Sweepstakes, Blogging, Video & email marketing. I trust this will assist you. Let me know if you wish to have a call to discuss these or have follow up questions. Regards KennethKT

What is the best way to capture and track referrals directed from a landing page?
There are a few ways to track things automatically, but they get complicated: - referral program software - Give your referrers special URL's with parameters that identify them as the referrer (like http://url.com/?referrer=JohnDoe), then push that value into a hidden form field - Create a separate landing page for each referrer I'd keep things much simpler to start. Just tell your social club that there's a referral program in place, then add a form field on your signup process asking who referred the new customer. If John Doe knows that there's a program in place, when he refers someone, he's likely to tell them "make sure you say I referred you". When the new customer joins, they'll likely remember to enter "John Doe" as the referrer. It's not bullet proof, but it's an easy way to start.CD
