MenuWhich kind of 'splinter' offer would you use as a lead magnet or tripwire from the core offer of property broking?
My client is a property broker in Paris for Anglophones who can't speak French. She is basically an advocate for the buyer and has access to most real estate agencies listings in Paris. Following popular digital marketing funnel strategy Im trying to pull apart the core brokerage offer to create lead magnets and tripwires but i just can't see how to offer anything other than a free consultation (which everyone does) as tripwire. I thought of creating some property searcher software like an evernote specifically for property searchers but that is a big project. Thanks for any help!

Show them how to solve ONE common problem in this field. Package it in a pdf report or video. Put a call to action at the end for the full product.
You don't want a free consultation as that ties up your client's time, and often with people who will never become buyers. You want this automated.
Your client has a defined target market, which you can use in the signup copy for the free report. That's a good start!
The tripwire's purpose is to pre-qualify the prospect and warm them up to become a buyer through this one-way conversation. It's a differentiation piece. The prospect starts to get familiar with the seller, and can decide whether they like your client as a source of information.
I have been very clear in the past in my belief that "Foot In The Door" sales attempts are a waste of time. They position the seller badly and don't lead to larger future orders. However, tripwire products are still a good idea for positioning and pre-qualifying, as I discuss further in this video:
Here's a case study of the tripwire ebook. Our client is ApartmentSpecialists.co.nz - a brokerage selling apartments.
We set up their website to do two things
1 - split the buyers and sellers into separate pathways (funnels) through the website.
2 - persuade them to self-identify by offering an ebook to download.
The detailed case study is here for you to read.

I suggest you also visit their site and sign up to read the content we wrote - a lot will be transferable to Paris real estate.

What is the best way to implement sharing in a native app and mobile website?
I've been developing web and iPhone apps for a while and I usually recommend to first use the provided sharing mechanisms. They provide great flexibility and as well don't require your app to request permissions on external networks. Using the iOS SDK sharing components will also save you precious development time. The most important part is the content that will be shared. On that side, make sure all the content has a unique URL, and can be properly consumed on all plateforms, desktop and mobile. Pay a particular attention to the head meta tags of those pages. Open graph and Twitter tags are not optional anymore and help driver a better visibility on the networks your content is being shared onto. Don't forget to track with an appropriate analytics tool how your users use the sharing module. Then you can evaluate the pertinence of building something custom.FV

How best to spend $1k month marketing budget for small LA based legal firm?
Hi there. Have managed thousands of attorney online programs, I'll see if I can provide any suggestions. However, it usually depends on what type of practice you have. Commercial litigation might have a much different strategy than personal injury, for example. Let us know and I'll come back with some thoughts. Google ads may be a good place to look, though, if not already doing. Although $1k in Los Angeles market might be spent quickly.BC

How can you know the habits, likes and dislikes of your customer?
Use Facebook insight. There is a feature in facebook that you can use to identify your potential customer and i'm revealing you a simple trick. Choose a 'public figure' of your niche: as an example if you are a personal trainer you can choose a very known name, then go to facebook insight, in the business manager, and put the name of him. If it's very well known, probably he has a fan page or something, so Facebook will display you the identikit of the people interested. They go VERY IN DEEP: you can see how much they earn, what is the average family, where they live etc Write down these datas. You can use it further also for paid ads.JV

As an Agency that currently works on Elance where price/timeframe are the primary criteria buyers seem to be shopping with, how can I get ahead?
Remember when you start a business or are an established business you have to decide who is your perfect customer, since not all potential customers are equal, and not all potential customers are profitable. It is likely that the type of customer who is purely price orientated like those on Elance etc. may not be profitable to your overall business success as it is very unlikely they will pay you more in the future. You would be better focusing your marketing attempts on finding customers who do appraciate your work and understand the added value your agency has to offer, than chasing jobs, by people that only value you and your business by lowest price, which is a business model that can only lead to failure.CM
