MenuFacebook page promotion-- does it suck or do we suck?
I'm getting so few likes from promoting my page on Facebook, even though I am targeting the groups I think are right. I'm trying different images, but it seems like I'm just wasting money to be honest...any advice? any expert tips? not the standard stuff please:)

Hi there,
it depends on what your end goal is. Are you looking for page likes or you want to send traffic to a landing page on your website in order to get leads or sales?
If you can give more clarity on what your business is about and what you are trying to achieve, then I'll be able to give you pointers on what to do to increase your ROI.
For now all I can say is work on your Ad copy (not so much about trying different images, but images that send the right message). Hone in on your targeting... test, test, and test, until you get it right!
Feel free to contact me if you need to talk further.
This strongly depends on what product you're targeting, what market you're in, and countries you're after. Also, is it an online product or a physical product? How long are you running the ads for? Usually a good 2 weeks is fine, then the results decline. It would be great to know a bit more details about what exactly you've done and then figure out with you where exactly the problem is.
Oh, my dear friend, so many new businesses experience the same thing, so hang in there. Here is my advice, but first, we need more context:
What type of business are you?
What kind of creative and copy are you using?
Are you boosting posts, inviting friends and family, or running full ad campaigns?
The answers to these questions are important because the strategy that works for one business may not work for another. Let me walk you through what works best across the board to get more results and turn those wasted dollars into smart investments. Here’s what you need to know:
1. Stop Boosting Posts
Boosting posts is like tossing money into the wind. Use Facebook Ads Manager instead—it lets you target the right people, test what works, and track real results.
2. Your Images and Videos Matter Most
The visual is what stops people from scrolling. Use:
Bright colors or bold text.
Faces that show emotion.
Short videos (under 15 seconds) to grab attention fast.
3. Your Words Need to Speak to Them
Start by calling out your audience: “Are you struggling to find clients?”
Talk about their problem: “Wasting money on ads that don’t work?”
End with a clear action: “Click to learn how to fix it!”
4. Test and Adjust
Start small—spend $5-$10 a day and test different images and words. After a few days, see what’s working and focus on that.
5. Create Value First
Instead of asking people to like your page, please give them a reason to care. Share tips, videos, or guides that help them with real problems.
6. Are you targeting a cold, warm, or hot audience? This matters in the copy, creative and type of campaign

What are the best tools to use for growing social media reach?
Hi! Happy to answer this question. Initially, I'd ask "what are you tracking at present?" And "what are your goals?" Software wise, I love to use a few tools for Twitter. Hootsuite to schedule relevant content (and not all tweets should be scheduled--happy to touch on this more), Tweetreach to get a feel for impressions/influencers who HAVE been engaging (in my mind, impressions are KEY, more so than Follower count because hashtags can help you reach more people) and Sprout Social for a more in depth view of your Twitter analytics. Getting more visibility/followers: what hashtags are you using? How often do you acknowledge those who follow you (new followers vs existing followers)? Are you just sharing autoscheduled content and links OR are you creating conversations? Hashtags wise: find those that have a community already centered around them! *You don't want to "hashtag hijack" however, tags like #smallbiz #blogchat #_________ specific to your industry or ideal client's industry can go a long way. Other tools that people use to track community and engagement include Sum All, and Commun It https://commun.it/ Once you start tracking impressions (and monitoring growth vs plateaus) you can then go back and look at your content to see which posts generated the most response/engagement. Again, just want to emphasize that creating conversations and asking questions are great methods to do all of the things you are looking to accomplish.JM

What is the best advertising platform for generating revenue for a skincare startup (1 product offer)?
Hi There are Facebook advertising techniques that would allow you to target competitors followers, related beauty or skincare pages followers then target them with your advert going to a landing page with a buy now unmissable offer to capitalise on your conversions. Because most people do not buy first time, I would then re-target them with the offer on their Facebook newsfeed so they do not forget you, adding to your conversion. Facebook is by far the cheapest for adverts Google would be crazy prices for this type of product. You could also look at placing with affiliates and let them do all of the marketing work and your cost would be fixed, but there is a lot of competition for affiliates in this sector so maybe difficult. If done right on Facebook with a laser targeted campaign with landing page you should be looking at $0.25 to $0.30 per 1,000 views with a decent conversion making the cost per conversion very low. When you target people you know would be interested in your product it is always best to do a CPM campaign rather than a CPC as this is a waste of money, if launching this product there is no market price other than competitors products so you can show it as a high price then do a landing page with a launch offer only available for a limited time with a count down clock, even offer referral discounts if they share on Facebook. Hope this helpsMM

I have a facebook group with over 6000 members. It is a lot of admin-work. How can I make profit out of this group?
There are different ways that you can make a profit from a Facebook group. The key is to understand your audience and know what type of services/products they would be interested in. You can charge businesses or companies that are looking to target that specific audience a flat fee and post their products/services on their behalf. You can add affiliate links for products or services that are relevant to your audience and earn commissions on the sales/leads generated from those links. You can sell advertising on a CPC basis. Etc...EH

Which link shortener should we use in our social sharing strategy to track our Analytics?
I might suggest starting with Bitly and exploring the possibility of getting a custom branded shortener, which you can set up through Bitly once the domain is purchased. For example, my website is philpallen.com but I shorten all links to philp.al/link so it's more professional. I feel like many other shorteners look like spam, but I'd say your safe with Bitly because it's widely used. A custom one would be even better!PP

What is the difference between #topics and precise interests when choosing audience on Facebook ads?
Topic targeting is a broad way of targeting people who've expressed interest in that topic or "related topic". It's a good option if you want to create awareness, do branding or generate likes. But when your end goal is sales/leads - it's good to go for precise interests as that's like exact match - and it ensures that you're reaching only those people which you're actually targeting - not related ones.KS
