This text is to serve as my formal recommendation for Petr Kosnar. Petr has been my student for several years. He obtained Bachelor degree from Engineering Informatics at Czech Technical University in Prague after successfully defence of his thesis in September 2009.
I was a supervisor of his bachelor thesis which is related to a web coding. The form of his thesis is quite unusual, from the beginning it was intended as teaching materials for one semester course. Thanks to his enthusiasm and experience a new course “Web for coders” was establish. The course is focused on good habits in coding, accessibility and usability, advanced CSS, search engine optimization, and on the understanding the core of internet business and trends. To proof the quality of his thesis, the course was introduced into study plans since academic year 2008/09. Two full pilot runs under his lead (as a lecturer) proved also the attractiveness of this topics for students and they were good pedagogical experience for Petr. Nowadays, the course is incorporated in faculty graduate-level study plans.
Generally, Petr proved famous capability to accept, understand, and use new technology trends. He is very ambitious and he does his best to meet every target he has set. Therefore, I am glad I can recommend him and I do it without any hesitation.

Seeing his nice presentation on Webexpo 2011 I have to admit he is still growing...!
Petr is a team player, always keeping atmosphere at work pleasant and productive. He has a broad portfolio of IT skills ranging from backend to frontend, pursuing the user-oriented ones to extraordinary depth.
Source: LinkedIn Petr Žižka Aug 22, 2013Petr performed a study on the effects of avatar gender and social exclusion on the avatar's persuasiveness. In this project, Petr was eager to understand the topic and brought some interesting ideas to the discussion.
He was also a member of my student group in another project, in which we have investigated people's experience with a (probe) avatar feedback system. The results of this study have been written in a conference paper, on which Petr is co-author.
