Paul Waide is a founder and chief investment officer at Amalfi Capital Management Limited which invests in public technology companies and focuses on China opportunities. Prior to co-founding Amalfi, he was a vice president at Winnington Capital. At Winnington Waide focused on mainland China private equity opportunities.
Before joining Winnington Waide founded, built, and sold Pacific Epoch, a research firm conducting fundamental industry research for hedge funds. Pacific Epoch was sold to JL McGregor & Company in October 2006. At time of sale Pacific Epoch had over 60 clients, including seven of the world's 20 biggest hedge funds by assets under management. Waide's articles on the investment arena have been syndicated to MarketWatch, The Deal, and the International Herald Tribune, among others.
