Since 1988, thousands of visual artists have found help for their art marketing and art business questions. Through my books, blogs, workshops, webinars and consulting, I have had the privilege of advising visual artists and helping them make informed decisions on how to get their to market.

After a career of 35+ years in education, collaborative sales, and sales management and marketing, I started my own freelance writing and editing business in July of 2008. My company, Writing It Right for You knows that "It Matters How You Say It"! I work with individuals, graduate and post-graduate students, and businesses throughout the United States, Canada, the Middle East, India, Russia, Thailand, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom on a variety of academic and business writing and editing projects. I have a wonderful husband who is also my business partner, SIX very successful adult children, the cutest little grandson in the whole wide world, (2) rescue dogs, and a 98-year-old home in an historic district. I love to read, write, practice yoga daily, do needlecrafts and sew, play my piano and synthesizer keyboard, garden, hang out with family and friends, do home improvement projects, and travel. You know the old saying: "If you need something done, ask a busy person!" So, since it didn't seem as if I were busy enough: In 2011, I co-founded a related business, Detroit Ink Publishing, where I specialize in manuscript preparation and eBook publishing. In 2013, I added a small business marketing program, 5 Easy Pages, to my business offerings. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Psychology and a Master’s Degree in English/Language Arts and Curriculum Development. I also have a Reading Specialist Certification from the State of Michigan and several business licenses.
