By understanding our niche target market, I was able to grow a bootstrapped social toolbar product from 0 -> 25M+ monthly pageviews with zero marketing budget or outside funding. On the flip side, I've also managed large scale SEO/SEM campaigns for both B2B and B2C payment-related businesses, driving millions of monthly visits while also achieving profitable CPA targets.
Although my specific industries of focus have been payments, multifamily, and the restaurant/nightlife business, I've advised companies in numerous other verticals and consider myself well-versed on many different topics and subjects. I'm happy to impart whatever wisdom I've picked up along the way.

Have built and managed $MM marketing campaigns; developed and implemented broad SEO/SEM/Social campaigns, and led product teams from idea -> concept -> prototype -> product -> launch and beyond. I reported directly to Matt at VeriFone, and together we worked closely on the go-to-market and launch plan for SAIL. What I admire most about Matt is his knowledge and drive around "new marketing" - inbound marketing, content, social media, and how all those pieces work together with SEM, SEO, product and mass media to create a best-in-class marketing approach. In the current fast-paced marketing world that's always changing, I think an adaptable and forward-thinking marketer like Matt is the type every company - small or large - should employee. Matt's willing to take risks, has good ideas, and collaborates with the right people in a manner that makes everyone feel like they're important. I think this is hard to find in a leader, and appreciate not only Matt's marketing knowledge, but his skills as "people person." He's one of the better bosses I've had - he trusted the skills he hired me for, didn't micromanage, and felt more like a partner than someone who thrives on a hierarchical, top-down approach. This helped develop an environment that I could learn in and succeed - one of the best things you could ask for in a manager!

He made every team member feel important and relevant, and also worked well with external vendors and partners. Matt knows how to work as a team and not just an individual player, and that is extremely important for morale.
