I helped create and continue to sustain the remote company culture at Help Scout, a remote-first company of 85 people. I’ve instituted a number of initiatives that keep our remote team feeling connected and engaged.
I developed Help Scout’s diversity and inclusion strategy, which has led to improvements across the company (e.g., through strategic recruiting practices, the representation of women on our Engineering and Design teams has increased from 5% to 26%). I’m passionate about conducting meaningful D&I work, including demographic surveys, workshops, and trainings.
I’ve recruited and hired dozens of people at Help Scout without ever meeting a candidate face-to-face. I regularly write and speak about meaningful recruiting, engaging outreach, sourcing techniques, and efficient hiring processes.
