Katie is a concerned and committed manager with great leadership ability. She is incredibly responsible, motivated and intelligent. As a boss, she gives clear, concise directions and is able to delegate tasks and projects efficiently. She is an engaged and involved manage but does not micro-manage her team. It was a pleasure working for her!
Katie was a member of my team in the Comparative Management Systems (international capstone) class in the MBA program at Loyola Marymount University. She was extremely reliable, organized, hard-working, and provided a great deal of leadership and stability to the team. She was never at a loss for ideas, and yet unlike many creative people, she presented them in a way that did not leave her teammates feeling threatened. Katie is a highly competent business developer. Her responsibilities at Pillsbury included representing and offering strategic business development direction to several complex, oftentimes difficult, extremely busy, international-in-scope practices, one of which was our China practice based in Shanghai and involved huge time and language differences as well. She is a holistic, strategic thinker and planner, is very comfortable making decisions to move projects forward, diplomatic yet strong, an adept oral and written communicator and very capable on both a team-based and individual project environment. She is also an excellent mentor, having tacitly and voluntarily played that role to at least two more junior business developers, both of whom are now miles ahead of where they started prior to her mentoring. She is sorely missed.
