Starting a Business, Inspiring Your Employees, Getting Past Career Road Bumps,

I have been passionately working in my field for over 25 years, have started and successfully run 2 locations of my business, gone through ups, down, ups, and downs again, continue to learn from my mistakes and adjust and adapt to grow. I have lead teams as small as 2 and as large as 70+, worked through fears, set my ego to the side, taken on a business partner when I realized I could not do it alone, made more mistakes, and yet, despite it all, continue to grow in ways I would have never expected.

I LOVE to help others move beyond their limiting fears and beliefs so that they can achieve their goals. My belief is that we ALL can achieve our goals if we are willing to push through the discomfort, and learn to have fun on the journey... because in the end.. that is all there is!

Hello, and great question. I feel the most important question you need to ask is "why". Why do we want to make films, and then, what stories do we want to tell? These two questions are critical, because before a film can be made, and then, potentially, become profitable, the foundation must be strong.

I have been working in the film and television industry for over 25 years, and I can tell you from experience that the projects that had the most heart, the most compelling story were the ones that meant the most, and, quite often, made not only financial gains, but had social impact.

Making sure you understand the technical aspects of the business, writing a proper script, etc, is critical. Have you taken courses in filmmaking? You could also look to crowdfund a short film based on your script to generate publicity and attention. The big thing is to start taking action: from writing scripts to finding ways to produce shorts, trailers, etc.
