Jiří helped startup teams at WebExpo Startup Camp in the UX workshop with focusing on the minimum set of features (MVP). His great experience in interaction design, user experience, business analysis and web development with personable approach created great results.

Jiří is an outstanding designer who understands user experience and interaction design into deep. He is able to identify what information is relevant in the problem, and finds the right design solution that fits the context accordingly. This makes him different from plenty of common designers who just blindly apply patterns and principles found in books. I also like his inspiring talks tackling often overlooked, but important aspects of design.

Many years ago I've briefly worked in Jiří's company as a designer / coder / analyst. Because Jiří is very knowledgeable person, I always liked to talk with him about web technologies, user-experience design and related topics. His knowledge and experience is pretty unique in the small Czech webdesign community. These days I think we're more of a competitors (both selling our UX skills through our companies), however I'm happy for every competitor as good as Jiří. He has my full recommendations regarding his web-related skills and professional attitude at work.

I know Jiří for many years, he's dear friend of mine. I like the way he thinks things through with his analytical mind. He also has a very nice way of cutting the crap and he knows exactly when to use it.

It's always pleasure to meet him and to work with him.

Jiří Sekera answered:

It all depends on recipient skills, experiences, imagination and expectations… and of course on your explanation and purpose of whole presentation.

If you are presenting content-related solutions, it's much more better to work with raw sketches. If it's clear that visual design is not the topic at this time, it's much more easier not to be tempted to talk about "how it looks" instead of "what it is", "how it works" and "why".
