Experienced Financial Services Project Manager, delivering results through large (and small) strategic projects using agile, scrum and waterfall approaches.
I have a history of delivering results through large strategic, technical and operational projects. Over the years, through several companies, I have a developed a comprehensive understanding of process and practice, with experience throughout Commercial, IT and all Operation focused departments.
I worked with Jamie between January and February 2014. We collaborated on a project to optimise the Buying Butler user experience, where the language on the website needed to be adjusted to simplify the choices the customer had to make, to return the strongest product matches.
It was a pleasure to work with Jamie, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him and would welcome working with him again.
Jamie has proved himself to be a highly focussed project manager, demonstrating an ability to balance requests from product owners against tight release deadlines. Working with the team, Jamie has brought many of the essentials of an agile workflow into a lightweight startup environment, producing a more focussed approach to the development process.
Jamie is a highly skilled and accomplished Project Manager with whom I would welcome the opportunity to work again.
I worked with Jamie Stuart on a key replatforming project that transformed the way marketing teams managed content on the Internet facing website. Apart from its dense technical content there was a huge expectation from business. Jamie was a good project manager who fit the role perfectly well and delivered consistently on it. His management style brought out the best in each member of the team be they from business or technical areas. Jamie was able to provide leadership and delivery assurance despite being in the thick of greater unknowns surrounding the project at the time. The net result was quite dramatic and resulted in continuous learning to the project team as they were led through an agile methodology - that this was all happening in the careful hands of Jamie is worth restating.
Jamie is very good at delegating responsibility and inspiring confidence among his comrades. His management style has a sense of cool-headedness often leading to a smooth-execution with measured-progress that you'd expect off a mature-leadership.
I wish Jamie continued excellence in the future roles he takes up. I would happily look forward to working with him again.
Jamie was a successful IT project manager at Capital One. Jamie balanced the need for aggressive project delivery with the need to ensure that current IT services were not impacted. He has a very collaborative approach which encourages cooperation and creative problem solving.
I worked with Jamie on a number of projects and always found him to be an organised, proactive and diligent project manager. Jamie is well versed and experienced in managing structured projects both large and small and is excellent at managing and communicating to stakeholders and customers.
I worked with Jamie on a number of projects and was impressed with his ability to deliver a sound project plan, motivate the team and inject energy and fun into the software delivery process whilst maintaining a highly professional approach to key senior stakeholders. Whilst I worked with Jamie at Capital One, it was undergoing a series of restructuring activities and major systems overhaul and Jamie took this in his stride to not only deliver his projects on time but to work with the teams in a sensitive and positive way. Some project managers only focus on budget and timely delivery but Jamie was also highly appreciative of doing the right thing for not only the business but also for the technology platform for the long term...which was great for all concerned.
