Managing Money, Financial Independence and UK Property Investing

I came to the UK as an immigrant with just one suitcase in 2002. I had one a scholarship to a great university but besides that I had no assets.
In the time since I have grown my asset base from 0 to £2.6m worth of property and a growing equity portfolio.
I did this by reading and listening to anything I could about personal finance. Lots of things seem 'obvious' once you know them but the lack of that knowledge can mean that you don't achieve the financial success you crave. I have a job I enjoy in Economic regulation and have been giving people including many friends advice on all manner of personal finance issues for a long time. I enjoy doing it and I like to offer people a menu of options that they hadn't considered.
