I started my career in sales and found I have an innate talent to use my abilities in consultative sales, market research and analysis, and persistence to achieve some incredible results. Having first achieved some unforeseen numbers in market-driven sales and promotions, I was promoted to Territory Manager and accelerated sales to 25% revenue growth with a national food distributor and positively influenced the results of 50 salespeople in 9 states.
After moving to Marco in software sales, I was able to expand the division into new markets and offerings by proactively negotiating relationships with Marco and key vendors. Soon, the CEO called on me to start up a brand-new division in security shredding and destruction. Not only did I create this new offering, but I also conducted all market research and won buy-in on enhancing the portfolio suite. During this process, I managed the legal, regulatory, and compliance aspects of the complex integration of an acquired firm.
While I was Division Manager at Marco, I presided over an EBITDA of 35%, resulting in a revenue increase of 66% in new business and 33% through acquisitions. By organizing a focus group of current and potential clients, I identified a new solution for our portfolio that contributed to an increase in sales of 40%. I have become deeply involved in corporate development initiatives, supporting sales, operations, M&A, general business modeling, and go-to-market strategy.
In 2021, I was asked to conceptualize and launch a division focused on M&A strategic planning and implementation, focusing on a wide range of technical services. My efforts have led to a sustainable growth rate of 5% while introducing programs retaining key employees and customers at a rate of 90%.
My style is both consultative and tactical. I know how to get numbers and how to work the relationship side. I excel with C-Suite, BOD, and stakeholder-level influencing and communications as well.
