Co-founder of Mashery (sold to Intel). Purveyor of fine strong opinions. Rocker of boats. API architect. Technical advisor to many. Father of two.
Technical co-founder of Mashery, the market leader in API management. I can help you scale, design an API developers will love, and build an cohesive engineering process.
I've been building services around APIs since the early 2000s. In the time since, I've designed and constructed APIs, built the market-leading API management service, and patented the way API management is done. http://bit.ly/api-management-patent
I'll help you start your Software as a Service business the right way, enabling you to avoid early pitfalls that frequently come back to bite you later. You'll be better able to determine what to build, how well to build it per-iteration, and what to outsource.
Do you have time to learn by making mistakes? Doubt it. I help folks like you make the RIGHT choice at the right time.
I'm a veteran Software as a Service architect/builder. I scale stuff. Call me before you do anything too radical! I'll save you hours of Googling & keep you from laying awake wondering if you made the right decision.
About me: I am the technical co-founder of Mashery, Inc, the leading API Management firm, which was acquired by Intel in 2013. I wrote the initial code with one additional engineer, and we scaled that starter platform to handle multiple billion calls a day over the course of 4 years before we decided switching to pre-complied source was the only way to squeeze more performance out of our stack.
Clay was very knowledgable and very helpful in talking through several different solutions.
Clay is really really good. He knows really APIs and tech in general. Great conversation!
Clay is Awesome. He had experienced understanding of a seemingly endless array of questions I asked on scaling, backups etc. Also easy to talk to. Highly recommend.
