The whole story:
I was already pretty busy in my early teens. In 1993 I discovered the first possibilities of the internet and expertimented with building websites and marketing opportunities it had to offer. Before that I was already active in the 'computer-scene'. I ran one of the largest computer-clubs in Overijssel (the Nethelands).
During my study (until 1996) at the Music Academy (higher vocational education / HBO) I worked for the marketing department of the 'Hogeschool Enschede' on different projects, gave courses on 'what the internet was and how to use it' and organized a number of communication- and cultural events.
In 1996 my work and education could no longer be combined. I started up my first company. Since then I've gained experience in many fields and projects. Most of them focused on (online) communication / marketing / social media marketing / developing new business models and other innovative components.
In the last few years I've mainly been hired as social media strategist and together with my team we provide companies with marketing, PR and communication solutions as well as (innovation and social media) awareness workshops to make their organizations more 'future proof'.
I strongly believe in experimenting with new technologies, trends and theories also I stimulate collaboration between professionals with complementary experience and knowledge (co-creation).
My goals:
- Make organizations aware of the 'digital age' and how to adapt and make them more 'future-proof'.
- Working on interesting (international) social media / marketing projects
- Reaching larger audiences through keynotes, workshops, tv and radio.
- Developing a number of new concepts (together with one or more business partners / investors)
