As both an entrepreneur and investor I understand the psychology that happens on both sides of the table.
I have raised $125 million dollars from angels, VCs, and strategic investors for my company, Life360. I have also done 26 angel investments of my own.
Funds/investors I have raised from include: 500 Startups, Bessemer Venture Partners, Founders Fund, BMW, Verizon, ADT, DCM, Facebook, Samsung, dozens of angels, and many others.
Some of my personal deals where I have been either an investor or advisor include: Tile, Credible, Ring, Automatic, Airdog, Honk, and others.
Many people are scheduling my time with the hope I will connect them to angel/VC investors. Here are some notes on this topic:
-The majority of companies I talk to here I don't feel comfortable introducing to my network.
-I either need to be an expert in your space or be a passionate user of your product to feel comfortable introducing you to people I know.
.
-I have only give ~10 companies I have met through Clarity intros, and I personally invested in just one.
While I am happy to give any company my time if I think I can be useful, please do not book me with the expectation that I will be able to intro you to investors.
