Carl is a guy who gets stuff done and doesn't waste time with office politics. He is a great team leader and organizer, orchestrating sprints to agressive goals and managing high risk products that require attention to every detail. During my time working with Carl he kept our team on track and headed in the right direction while making the lofty and sometimes audacious goals of our clients a reality. I would put Carl at the helm of any team and I wouldn't hesitate to work with him in the future.
Source: LinkedIn Thom Allen Oct 25, 2013Originally, Carl joined the company as my peer but due to restructuring was later reporting directly to me. Carl was the perfect addition to our team. He immediately took the helm after coming on board and brought structure and sanity to our then rather chaotic project. He also built a deep relationship with our off-shore team in Bangalore and was responsible for getting the most out of them by keeping morale up - our team was the most productive off-shore team within the entire company.
Carl also did some magic by keeping the usual "project churn" away from me allowing me to focus on important technical issues and the architecture of our product as well as managing up to the VP of engineering.
I would hire and work with Carl again without hesitation and would love the opportunity to recommend him to anybody lucky enough to get him on board.
I worked with Carl for almost a year at Accelrys, during which we teamed with on site as well as offshore development teams on a few different projects employing both common and innovative technologies. Carl is great at building rapport with development resources and especially at working to bridge the gap with offshore teams. He was a great proponent of Agile development and coached others to follow Agile best practices to the benefit of our projects. But probably his strongest asset is his demeanor: Carl is extremely easy-going, even under stress.
Source: LinkedIn Jen Provance Oct 25, 2013After working with Carl for 2 years in an Agile project, I have come to know him as an excellent team player, an experienced Project Manager, and an amiable character. Carl is very perceptive to the inquiries and feedback of his team; he is an excellent communicator. He is very knowledgeable and never hesitates sharing this with others to encourage learning. Furthermore, he recognizes what actions need to be taken during a project and relays this to others directly and effectively. I would be happy to work with Carl again and recommend him as a Project Manager.
Source: LinkedIn Nellie Terekhova Oct 25, 2013Carl has an unique ability of keeping calm and focused under any circumstances. He is very organized, methodical and a great individual.
He keeps track of time and effort better than anyone I have worked with. But his ability to remain super cool through any situation is what has really impressed me. He has all the qualities to organize and lead large scale engagements.
It was quite an experience working with him and I have been able to learn a lot about effective time and effort management from him.
I consider Carl to be one of the brightest and most talented people I've worked with. As his manager for 2 years I considered his work ethic and ability to deliver projects and exceed goals second to none. Carl is an innovative thinker and a fast learner that requires very little ramp-up time. Given the opportunity, I would hire Carl again without hesitation.
Source: LinkedIn Scott Hogrefe Oct 25, 2013Carl has a great drive and willingness to deliver on the projects that he is involved in.
Source: LinkedIn Chad Harrell Ph.D. Oct 25, 2013Carl is a highly skilled Business Relationship and Project Manager, extremely intelligent, hardworking, and detail-oriented. He has managed multiple projects simultaneously and successfully, within budget and timelines. I would definitely hire him if I could!
