Co-Founder of UPlanMe, simple digital marketing software for SMBs. Formerly, national ad sales for Rolling Stone and RollingStone.com as well as BlackBook Media, and the Access Network.
It has been a pleasure to work with Brian. He is a talented manager with a solid work ethic. If he says he will do something, I know I can count on him completely! Brian had been tossed into a crucible of learning at BlackBook - and he has risen to the challenge time and again. He has shown inititative in developing new sales programs and in creating new ways to market our Nightlife Guides, and is always willing to listen to and learn from his colleagues. He has grown tremendously as a salesperson and as a manager in the time I have worked with him - and I would work with him again - anytime, anywhere!
I first met Brian as a collegiate intern in 2003. Even then, Brian's intelligence, enthusiasm, and industriousness stood out. Years later, Brian returned to Rolling Stone as a sales rep and was remarkably effective both externally in generating revenue (his numbers were nothing short of stellar) and internally in solving the inevitable problems that arise in the day-to-day business of producing issues.
Brian's core strength is his seemingly boundless energy. He will not be out-worked and his presence as the last person in the office was a common sight. Beyond his work ethic, Brian is an extremely savvy media professional, skilled in delivering on his clients' objectives and creative in suggesting ways to expand brand awareness.
On a personal level, Brian is a pleasure to work with - he is funny, charming, and very obviously smart as a whip. You can't have enough people like that in an office and Rolling Stone lost a tremendous asset when Brian left us.
