Brendan started his career at Lakeshore Entertainment where he oversaw all aspects of Lakeshore’s interactive media strategy. At Lakeshore, he worked on 16 films that generated worldwide gross of more than $685 million dollars. Brendan also worked closely with Lakeshore Records, the independent music division of Lakeshore Entertainment, responsible for such soundtracks to films The Hurt Locker, Tropic Thunder, Napoleon Dynamite, Little Miss Sunshine, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, and Underworld and Underworld: Evolution to name a few.
In partnership with MTV, Brendan conceptualized and built an advertising technology that monetized consumer to consumer interaction within social networks. This technology was utilized for successful campaigns with MGM, Sony, Yahoo, MTV, and Rockband.
In 2008 Brendan founded Site Canvas, a digital startup focused on building applications and platforms to help build and grow digital businesses for celebrity clients Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Xzibit, Charles Barkley, NFL star Michael Strahan, super model Adrianna Lima, and Holly Madison. Site Canvas also consulted for the NHL and NFL Players Association on how to bolster their digital offering to both players and fans. Quickly after founding the company, Brendan brokered several licensing deals with MTV and NBC/MTV joint venture Alli Sports for its innovative website building platform.
One of the most successful applications Brendan created at Site Canvas is an application that can turn any Facebook profile into a website in less than 60 seconds. This application produced more than 30,000 websites in two months. The most recent Site Canvas application allows Facebook users to create custom cover images for Facebook's new profile Timeline. Over 1 million people have used this application and has generated significant buzz within the tech community.
