Full of generosity, passion and love for what he does, Bob Watson is the epitome of what a true leader is and should be. Since working with Bob, the support, guidance and encouragement supersede anything I could have imagined when I first joined First Team Real Estate, December of 2009.
Whether it be opinions of the current market of real estate or how to connect and give back to the community through the use of social media, what strikes me most regarding Bob:
The ability to listen with attentive ears, repeat what's just been said, then pose a thoughtful and, at times, provocative question to further a conversation and raise that particular discourse to another level. This skill, not to be taken lightly nor for granted is at the core of who Bob is professionally.
As Bob leads a meeting, he relinquishes the floor to those around him. A healthy ego exists, only to the point of conviction and confidence. What's most important, an open mind, free thinking and the continual learning process. Always willing to admit he doesn't know something, Bob yields humility when need be - yet another significant quality of a strong leader.
Finally, Bob, gracious, giving with his time while helping others, another significant character trait, in the most simplest terms is very, very, very funny. Leadership, coaching, mentoring at its finest, Robert Watson.
