I headhunted Bart from a national student enterprise competition because I was impressed with his maturity, professionalism, entrepreneurialism but most of all energy. In all of these regards he has not disappointed at OneSteel, and he has exceeded expectations on a great many more. As a colleague to Bart for 2 years, I've seen his consistent commitment to outcomes, his initiative in both solving problems in his daily work and discretionary effort in creating projects to lead the way in the long term, and especially observed his outstanding relationship building skills and attentive stakeholder management. I engaged Bart on a project of great strategic importance to my team and he delivered not only the work but some highly sophisticated thinking. Bart is warm, highly efficient, quick thinking and full of leadership potential. It has been a delight to work alongside him and benefit from his support at OneSteel, and I sincerely hope it is not the last time.

I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Bart on the smarter sourcing project at OneSteel. Bart is motivated and enthusiastic and has created a great sourcing methodology which will be one of his legacies at OneSteel.
