In 2011 I had the privilege to work under Andrew's guidance at Dreams for Kids. Among many things, Andrew set a high standard for professionalism in communicating that I continually refer back to in my daily activities. Andrew has a unique ability to make individuals feel important, understood and welcome simply through his ability to actively listen.
Within the first minute of Andrew's session I was sold. He tells engaging stories and made sure to apply his techniques to the audience members' businesses. Andrew,
Thank you so much for coming to speak at the NSA meeting in St. Louis last week. I totally appreciated basically every single word you said, and since then, it has been keeping me engaged in such awesome thought about how I am projecting myself, as well as my business, among other things. It is incredible to see what you have created with your personal and professional 'brand,' though I hate to even label it as brand, because it seems that you sincerely LIVE it each day, and that, to me, doesn't seem like a 'brand,' so much as a way of life. I also have to share with you that your comments on 'taking a photo and spending your vacation checking for likes' was so hilariously appropriate, as I had JUST returned from my first snow ski trip in Canada, doing the exact same thing. So when you said that, it really resonated. And I got to have a conversation with a new contact the other day, who loves photography, and ask him about 'who' he was taking photos for. Was it himself, to appreciate his travels and eye for photog, or was it for his 'audience' that he shares his pics with? It silenced him pretty quickly in thought. Just wanted to share that with you.
