With a Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering and a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, My approach to problem solving is to work directly with the employees on the floor and ask their inputs to problems as they deal directly with the manufacturing equipment all day and have the most in-depth knowledge of potential contributing factors to the root cause of a problem.
My trouble solving approach can be applied to any process as I seek out the contributing factors to process variability and help to inspire others to find the answers they are seeking.
In the past decade, I have enjoyed writing programs in Excel to automate menial tasks and save dozens, if not hundreds of hours per year in labor. This frees up time for more productive tasks that are value added.
On the job, I have also enjoyed helping people with their basic computer skills, no question is too simple!
I started out as a young child on MS DOS with Windows 3.1 and grew along with each version of Windows, but not everyone has had that experience and that's ok! I enjoy helping people to become more familiar with their computer to free up their time.
