Combining 'slow consulting' and a monthly retainer structure both sides can profit tremendously. Working for multiple SME clients on a retainer basis has been very good for me and for my clients. We are much better in alignment, the focus is clearly on achieving value and we avoid having to negotiate over every nut and bolt. Around 10 engaged, communicative SME clients can be managed concurrently. It takes me about 3 to 4 days a week, as it would any experienced consultant. Scaling your business, all the way to global presence, can now be done in years instead of decades because of: • Powerful digital marketing, • smart cross cultural branding, • fast product development and regionalization, • cheap personal mobility and product transportation, • low barriers to market entry, e.g. in the European Union, • easy project communications with Slack, Jostle, Flock or Twist. This process can be done in a ‘pull out all the stops’ approach, or in a thoughtful, deliberate project. My clients prefer the latter, as do I. My methodology is all about implementing easy to swallow solutions over an extended period of time. Er klikken 10x zoveel mensen op onze advertenties (van 0,21% naar 2,5%) en niet geheel onbelangrijk; het heeft al een aantal conversies opgeleverd en we doen een stuk langer met ons budget.
De iets lagere gemiddelde positie van onze advertenties nemen we graag op de koop toe. Tot nu heeft dit het absoluut aantal klikken naar onze site niet negatief beïnvloed. Kortom: dank je Arjan!

- hackathons and Startupweekends and such
- design competitions
- direct work for customers you’d like to work for (show them how you can make them look better)
About direction:
- observe which content categories are on the rise (check trends on Google searches, Twitter, etc), focus on those
