I’m an Assistant Professor at Politecnico di Milano with active research in machine learning for structural engineering, finite element simulations of static and highly dynamic events, structural health monitoring, and metamaterials.
I collaborate internationally with the University of Colorado Boulder, the NTNU, and the University of Wollongong - Surf Flex Lab, and I regularly work at the intersection of deep learning, surrogate modeling, and computational mechanics.
I can help you with:
∙ Applying ML to engineering problems (surrogate modeling, anomaly detection, data processing)
∙ FE simulation strategy and troubleshooting
∙ Structural health monitoring approaches
∙ Navigating an academic career — publications, grants, collaborations, positioning
∙ PhD research direction and methodology advice
∙ Master’s and Bachelor’s thesis support — topic definition, methodology, results interpretation
∙ Engineering student projects involving simulation, data analysis, or ML implementation
∙ Exam preparation and concept clarification in structural mechanics, FEM, and applied ML
If you’re a researcher, engineer, PhD student, or engineering student stuck on a problem I’ve likely already solved — let’s talk.
