I'm a senior executive with over 25 years leading energy, infrastructure, and public utility companies across 8 Latin American countries — Colombia, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Chile, Honduras, El Salvador, and Ecuador.
I served as Vice President of Transmission & Distribution at Grupo EPM, Colombia's largest energy conglomerate, where I led operations serving over 9 million customers, managed more than COP 22 trillion (roughly USD 5 billion) in annual revenue, and sat on the boards of 8 national and international subsidiaries. I directed the development of a 150+ MW renewable energy portfolio and structured over USD 500 million in financing with multilateral, public, and private banks.
Before that, I was CEO of Metroplús, Medellín's mass transit company, where I led the acquisition of Colombia's largest electric bus fleet and structured over USD 100 million in financing with the IDB, World Bank, and C40 for transit decarbonization. I also spent 13 years at Interaseo, a multi-Latin environmental services company, first as COO and then as CEO, growing it from a local waste management operator into a company with 6,000+ employees across 8 countries.
Since 2020, I've advised the Inter-American Development Bank, the World Bank, JICA, and Latin American governments on sustainability, utility modernization, and infrastructure financing, and I currently serve on the boards of several utility and infrastructure companies in the region.
I hold an MBA and completed executive programs at Harvard (energy policy) and Wharton (business strategy). I started my career as a civil engineer, working on power plant construction projects in the U.S. and Mexico.
