Mikhail Guz has over 25 years of experience in power electronics industry including almost 15 years of experience with GaN and SiC power and RF semiconductors. He is currently Principal at IP and Technology Experts LLC (since 2016) and the Technical Secretary of JC-70 Wide Bandgap Power Electronic Conversion Semiconductor Committee at JEDEC Solid State Technology Association (since 2017, contract). Previously, he was Vice President of Strategy at Fairchild Semiconductor (2015-2016) where he was responsible for the company strategy in SiC and GaN power semiconductors. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Power Products at Avogy Inc. (2013-2015), a GaN startup that pioneered vertical power GaN devices and brought to the market the industry first laptop adapter/charger based on wide bandgap power transistors. Before that, he was Senior Director of Power MOSFET Business Unit at ON Semiconductor (2010-2013) and Senior Director of Power PSoC Business Unit (2008-2010) at Cypress Semiconductor (now Infineon). He also previously worked at ABB, Apple Computer, and Murata in various engineering and marketing positions related to power electronics.
