Manal Baqer is Founder of Neamah Digital Health, a member of the Society of Behavioral Medicine’s Digital Health Council, and a freelance expert consultant in healthcare. Manal has expertise in providing evidence-based mental health and behavioral medicine services (e.g., weight management, behavioral sleep medicine, psycho-oncology, transplant and obesity surgery, etc) working with health behavior change and lifestyle modification. She served in various healthcare settings from academic and specialist hospitals to community-based primary care health centers and refugee camps. Manal has expertise in clinical and public health research utilizing a variety of research methodologies, quantitative, and qualitative research. Manal’s PhD research was focused on behavioral weight management efficacy and cost-effectiveness clinical trials in rural communities. She offers expert advice and sector-insider’s insights on issues related to the clinical populations or operations, and geographical markets she has experience with and she provides research support for industry research such as SBIR grants or R&D, etc. Manal lived and worked in 6 countries across the US and Middle East. She studied at Jordan University, Boston University School of Medicine, and University of Florida College of Public Health & Health Professions and worked with many organizations such as Harvard’s School of Public Health, Boston Medical Center, UF Health, Whittier St Health Center, and International Committee of the Red Cross.
