ALANA has designed many businesses of her own and helped others design theirs. With formal art school training in advertising and a bloodthirsty love for truth, this art school drop out went on to awaken a dying world and forged a path to help others through design ethics, consumer advocacy, songwriting, editorial, documentary filmmaking and by giving children a voice.
ALANA writes timeless, soulfully relevant top lines with rich vocals for genre-defining music producers of several genres including downtempo, chill hop, EDM, indie pop, new folk, and Americana.
Her music has been licensed to films/television with personally scored documentaries and a special interest in human ecology.
She spent her early years in the underground music scene of San Francisco, then broadened her artistry with experiences that included NYC subway busking, major label courtship in London and the experimental influence of New Orleans’ Music Box Village.
In 2010 ALANA released an EP with London's Chessclub Records called The Misuse of Chemistry. She is currently writing and recording in partnership with Zero 7.
After experiencing an intense refocusing and new vision for how the music industry can better serve artists, ALANA continues to challenge our pre-conceived notions about where we are headed as a human family with her beloved husband Michael Darius at roses/foundation.
