I live in Brooklyn, work in Union Square and connect startups to the latest in leadership, culture, org. effectiveness, conflict res. and exec. coaching.
How you lead can always improve. And you can always improve how you lead on your own. However, it also true that it will always be easier to make those strides talking things through and setting goals with a coach. It can also be fun too.
Whether you like it or not or pay attention to it or not, as you build your product or service, your culture is forming. Paying attention to what culture is and how it forms early on can pay huge dividends like compounding interest later on.
Conflict in the workplace is normal, omnipresent and healthy. It can keep people safe, spawn innovation and get down to the truth. Together we can create a system to keep conflict alive and healthy in your organization.
I have worked with Tommy now for two summers and he is a crucial member of our facilitator team for Project Common Bond. He brings to his facilitation a genuine interest in and understanding of people and group dynamics and he quickly gained the trust and respect of the youth participants in his workshops, who clearly look up to him as a mentor and role model. As a colleague, he brings insight to our facilitator planning meetings and both challenges and supports each of us to do our best and to think about innovative ways to engage our groups. I hope to have the chance to continue working with Tommy.
