I write for various industry publications such as Search Engine Journal, Search Engine Land, SEO Book and others, and have been cited by publications like USA Today, Fox Business, & Media Post. I was an instructor for Marketing Profs University, and a speaker at SMX.

How do I get my website noticed through press releases?

I agree with Humberto just firing off a press release isn't likely to get you much in the way of valuable press mentions.

How do I find viral images that you can "boost" on Facebook that meet the 20% text rule?

The Facebook grid tip is a good one, Canva is also a good (pretty inexpensive - images are free or $1 an image I believe) tool to grab an image you can edit / layer text on top of for things like social media posts / blog headers (they have "Facebook" specific sizing and its built to be editable by non-designers):
