Teresa specializes in guiding startups on operations, business development, financing, marketing, UX, team dynamics, and leadership. Within her 25+ year background in San Francisco and Silicon Valley, she has founded and operated successive financial consulting firms, served on non-profit boards and as a media guest in television, radio and print. After founding her own financial services firm she went on to her next iteration, The Financial 411, where she first developed and delivered financial education specifically for women. Her platform was entirely novel for its time through the melding of behavioral economics and immersive learning principles, and would lay the groundwork for future, post-Internet 2.0 platforms such as LearnVest. Not only an advocate for a democratized process in consumer financial services, she has overseen and advised on $900 MLN in financial transactions. As a professionally trained Mediator, she successfully facilitated negotiations and high-value solutions working with individuals/team members in conflict and as an expert witness in Superior Court. She excels at aligning diverse parties around a unified goal. Currently she is working throughout her native Midwestern region with the aim of providing a platform that facilitates greater overall entrepreneurial activity, the growth of the innovation culture and creating new partnerships with Silicon Valley. Teresa has hosted and speaks on globally competitive leadership and growing an entrepreneurial ecosystem for greater economic development. Teresa attended St. Mary’s College of Notre Dame/South Bend, the University for Foreign Students in Perugia Italy, and earned her B.A from the University of Illinois. She has also completed the CFA Level I.
