Can you recommend an event ticketing service that you prefer over Eventbrite?

Splash and brown paper tickets are great alternatives to Eventbrite, but before recommending any of the aforemetioned services, it would be helpful to know what features you are looking for in an event ticketing service.

We recently hosted an event technology event called PlannerTech for 130+ event planners to learn about technology and we were lucky enough to have Sonya on our volunteer team. When you are planning an event designed for event planners, everything needs to be flawless. You count on dedicated and intuitive volunteers to bring all the pieces together on the night of. Sonya interacted well with and catered to all of our presenters during the VIP Meet and Greet and was personal and professional throughout the event. She had a very good energy and her instincts in regards to event logistics was right on. It was a pleasure having her on our team for the evening and I would work with her again in an instant!

I worked with Sonya Spann as her supervisors at City Year New York in 2008. I directly supervised her as a Program Manager, where I served as a liaison with school administrators and managed community partnerships in Harlem. During the time that I worked with her, Sonya exhibited strong leadership skills and maturity beyond her years . I first noticed this quality in her when she helped plan a large scale community service day, where she served as the Outreach Director. She managed a team of people focus on recruitment efforts to many organizations, corporations and universities. She successfully recruited over 500 people to attend and managed the operations leading up to the day. Sonya displayed leadership in organizing such a large scale event and helping to insure it ran smoothly. Some of strengthens include her willingness to lead projects, extraordinary communication skills, outstanding organization skills, responsibility and professionalism.
