Opened companies in Osaka in 1994, 2004, and 2018, and one in America in 1998. Wide breadth of experience in myriad industries:
a) food and beverage, including raw material for food production by Japanese manufacturers and (separately) running a franchise restaurant / cafe chain that peaked at 72 locations;
b) consumer electronics, specifically export from Japan of photo sticker machines to 120 US locations, a business which included hardware, software, maintenance, and support;
c) radiation detection equipment for both consumer and specialized government cleanup workers in the Fukushima Dai-Ichi region;
d) construction and green energy technologies, ranging from batteries to solar and wind to compressed air energy storage;
e) intercultural training, specifically I have led many workshops in both Japanese and in English for Japanese managers working with Western counterparts, and for Westerners working with Japanese.
Business-to-business, business-to-consumer, and business-to-government: if I don't have answers at my fingertips, my network will have them. Fluent in Japanese. In my down time, I enjoy gardening at my rural home in South Japan.
