Sam and I worked together at Tippr on several high profile projects and during that time I found Sam to be a top notch engineer and a delight to work with. I worked directly with Sam for nearly a year, at the Austin office of a startup named Tippr, with a complex codebase much of which predated both of us.

During that time working with Sam, mutually reviewing code changes in the Agile style, he demonstrated a deep understanding of software design, coding, and best practices. His improvements covered nearly every aspect of the application, from elegant web UI element enhancements to back-end financial business logic to extensive regression tests, and with an underlying reliable correctness that makes working with his code, and him, a delightful experience.
