I am a Gender-Based Violence Expert with over 30 years’ experience researching, advising, and training on women’s safety, coercive control, and violence prevention worldwide. As the author of the 530-page book NEVER A VICTIM – The Definitive Guide to Women’s Safety, my work combines academic rigor with real-world application, empowering survivors, informing policy, and helping organisations create safer environments.
I have collaborated with law enforcement, NGOs, and international media, providing expert commentary and evidence-based solutions to complex safety challenges. My focus lies in helping women recognise early warning signs, trust their instincts, and take control of their personal safety — and in equipping professionals to better protect those at risk.
I am currently pursuing a PhD by Publication in Criminology, advancing a research framework called Escalation Pattern Analysis (EPA), which aims to transform how practitioners and agencies identify, predict, and prevent high-harm and lethal forms of intimate partner violence.
Whether you’re seeking strategic advice on prevention, training, or risk management, I offer clear, actionable guidance grounded in decades of field experience and ongoing academic research.
