I've known Richard since the late 1990s when we worked on a National scope bio-tech initiative for regional economic development organizations. We have stayed in touch through the years. In 2011, the Paris, Texas Economic Development Corporation engaged Richard to develop an Economic Development Roadmap for our community and region in NE Texas. He gathered numerous best practices from around the world. He expertly facilitated four working groups of civic and business leaders to develop a business plan. The focus of the working groups included targeted industrial recruiting of global manufacturing companies, community preparedness for projects and development site ready, also, he helped us with strategies for developing a talent pipeline and an entrepreneur eco-system. All relevant issues for economic developers. Particularly unique is our focus on rural innovation strategies. Through Richard's assistance and vision, and his unique ability to facilitate groups to develop creative and big ideas, we are poised to build the local and regional economy and strategically position our community with a competitive advantage.
