MenuWhat's a good way to attract customers when the most effective marketing strategy is plain word of mouth?
I'm a marketing consultant who puts all my focus and attention into my clients, I work as if it's my business on the line.

There is no simple answer to that.
Each market has its own hurdles and own benefits. Market reasearch is the key to understand the market.
Customers on a whole gets attracted to better products , quality products , unique and product that is giving a solution, ofcourse affordability cannot be ruled out.
Even after getting best of the best product cannot sustaint he market if availability of the product is low or customer support is not there.
Better service along with improving your product can help you to cater market in a better way.
Word of mouth works well in your existing circle but it's not a strategy for scaling a business since you have no control over someone referring you. Identify your target audience and develop a strategy to reach them.
Nobody Care's about products until they know that you care about them as a prospect.
Generate unique and memorable product packaging and branding.
1. Take written feedback from all customers
2. Create a plan for promoting this feedback across social media profiles
3. Create case studies that can be shared with potential customers

What companies have successfully implemented both B2B and B2C products or services? Which should I start with for the non-profit sector?
I would suggest the first question to ask is "what problem do I solve?" And of those people I solve problems for "who do I create the most value for?" In the non-profit world you need to add "How does my business help the non-profit run better and/or help the group the non-profit focuses on?" For example, if you've created a platform that drives donations, your company "has created a platform that helps you reach fundraising goals faster." What you don't want to do is market and sell to B2B and B2C audiences simultaneously. They have different ways of buying - a B2B audience needs to have their benefits quantified (using your thing makes me x amount more) - and it's extremely hard for a startup to be able to do both well. Better to start with one, execute really well and move into the other. Feel free to give me a call and we can dig into who your most valuable audience is.AV

What are average profit margins in Ice Cream store business?
Hi! I am owner of an ice crean chain with 45 stores in Chile. We have stores in shopping centers, streets and also karts that you can put in events and parks. The average cost margin of ice cream (depends on the amount of materials you use in producing the ice cream) is around 40%. This is italian gelatto where you serve the ice cream without a specific measurement so your costs can vary due to the size of each portion you serve. About the brand you should focus on your unique value proposition and what kind of ice cream you are selling. We import the pastry from Italy and the fruits and milk from our country. Your ROI depends on your sales price and costs. If you focus on high market ice cream you can charge high and keep costs down.MF

What is the most creative way to introduce myself (and therefore my service) to 100 key decision-makers without selling or pitching anything?
You've answered your own question. Reach out to your prospects with the question, such as "How would you...". Ask what people want then give it to them if you can with integrity and thoughtfulness.DI

Should I hire a bookkeeper? (what does one do exactly?)
NIcole is right. When I first started my business I thought I was saving money by doing my own bookkeeping. It took me much longer than it would take a bookkeeper - all time that I was not spending on marketing or billable activities. And in the end I made errors which made the initial work of the bookkeeper longer. I now have a consistent routine. My bookkeeper picks up all my material monthly and does my books in less than 2 hours. Very worthwhile.RL
