MenuFor you digital marketing / SEO / PPC guys out there, how do you bill your clients? Authorize.net or Quickbooks? Or something new on the market?
Most millionaires that I talk to use either Authorize.net or QuickBooks. Currently, I have both because we are in the process of transfering everything to Authorize.net because they have a smaller % I think around 2.2% where QuickBooks is 2.75%. But their UI is way worse. So I just wanted to get your thoughts and tally up the people who use one vs the other. There are advantages of both.

Authorize is my choice. Don't use them directly-- set up your own UI.
Though, from a "millionaire" point of view you shouldn't be accepting CC for medium/large marketing jobs to begin with. Any firm with authority should be able to have a "check, money order, or transfer" policy. There are too many reasons not to do credit card.
Anyway-- if you'd like some more advice regarding how to take your firm to the next level, let me know and set up a call.

There are many other options out there, all depends on your business. Are you using Quickbooks for any thing other than billing?

Hello,
With your business type, I would imagine that you are keying-in most of your payments or that your costumers are keying-in the information themselves. There are several options out there that are better than Quickbooks and Authorize.net, and have comparable fees.
For example, the I would recommend one of the following methods or a combination of the: 1. A virtual terminal where you will collect and enter the payment information yourself, an invoicing service that will send the invoice and direct the customer to a payment page, or a "buy now" type button that you can put on your website and direct customers to enter in their payment information.
I would need more detail about your business before I could start giving specific recommendations. Feel free to schedule a call with me if you wish to find a solid solution.

How can I test payment models for an app without having a company to get an account with payment processors such as Stripe?
If you're asking about processing point-of-sale payments, have you considered using the smart phone tools available from Square, PayPal or QuickBooks? You don't need to have a formal business entity structure to use these. A sole proprietorship is a viable business model to conduct some sales and test payments.

How do sites like airbnb process payments using 3rd party payment processors with a marketplace model, but provide such a seamless onboarding?
Hello, I've built and integrated with countless payment processors in my time, including the usual Stripe, PayPal and Braintree managed processors as well as direct banking integrations (HSBC, RBS etc) and I've also worked at indirect competitors of AirBnB and the key to getting the process to work like AirBnB isn't to use the default offerings of Stripe, PayPal and Braintree :) You have to go straight to the back end payment processors of your bank or to an API based intermediary. Some are offshoots of default services like PayPal, eWay and WorldPay, others are bespoke banking solutions which charge you on-demand/PAYG or a fixed fee and then you maybe optimise your costs on your side depending on the charging model. However, this isn't a small scale integration. Some of these take 3 weeks of bespoke development, when factoring in the merchant ID and banking QA process. Hit me up for a call if you need to discuss this in more detail. Happy to help.

High-Risk Merchant Payment Processing: How to work with ISO's offering card processing.
Setup your business as a pass through. You run the transactions + charge a fee. Likely, for the businesses you mention, they'd be happy to pay a premium fee... as you will be the only payment processor to accept their transactions.

Some companies ask you to link your credit card to them so you can track your spending or get discounts by using the card. How do they do that?
Its a combination of the First Data Offerwise Platform and the CardSpring API. You need to get certified by First Data in order to get access to the datasets required to build a service like that.
