MenuHow do I scale up and on-demand cleaning service mobile app
We have build a nice mobile app that allows users to request a professional cleaner on-demand. Supply (Professional Cleaners) side of things looks good but demand side (Client requesting is low). How do I increase that without loosing money. We don't have a web version - completely a mobile app.

You need to look at your KPI's. If your acquisition strategy can afford referrals, implement that, and ask your cleaners to spread the word (after they complete a clean) and reward them.
-Sell your mobile solution to a local cleaning companies, like outsource cleaning company, digitize their business and have their clients move to your platform
-Rate cleaners and Rate clients
-Build and in-app incentive for rating system for services rendered
-Allow cleaners to perform extra jobs that is out of their scope to earn more points "incentives" so they can make more money
If you have the supply of cleaners and are just looking for demand in the service on the consumer side but don't want to spend/risk losing money, I'd recommend a commission/affiliate based marketing strategy. This is a full proof way to grow with guaranteed profit without putting dollars at risk. I would have to get more of an understanding of your app, your market, scale, etc but affiliate marketing is one of my areas of expertise and I'd be happy to chat further on how you can do this. https://clarity.fm/stevenkrinberg1/expertise/affiliate-marketing-to-grow-fast-and-profitably
The best way scale up and on-demand cleaning service mobile app will to look at an example of a similar successful app that had captured market for quite a long time. Since you are really worried about the demand side, I believe this link will surely give you an idea about how to do it: https://www.appventurez.com/blog/how-to-make-on-demand-laundry-app-like-cleanly/

If I'm looking to create a mobile app for my startup, should I first hire a designer or a developer?
Designer. Specifically a UX "designer" as you say, who doesn't just draw screens, and won't draw any for weeks or months. They will not just use their knowledge but will go out and talk to users, observe how they solve the same problem today, and help create the scope of work, and design the basic functionality. If you hire a developer first, they will build stuff that may or may not be of any value. If the company survives the first few rounds of building the wrong thing, you are still spending a hell of a lot in rebuilding, re-marketing, etc. etc.SH

How does the dating app Hinge market and acquire interest before they enter a new city?
They are getting interest through their traction in other cities. Since they are already in 20 cities and have approximately half a million users if you look at their Android app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.hinge.mobile.android), they can simply wait until one city "tips". This might also just be a strategy to artificially use scarcity since it works sometimes, such as with Mailbox(http://www.nirandfar.com/2013/07/psychology-of-scarcity.html). I think it doesn't really matter if they launch city after city, as they have $8M in funding and can just spend $5,000 on Facebook Ads and get 1,000 user in one city within a day. The effect of scarcity makes sense, if you are new and if you're a hyped startup such as Mailbox used to be. On the other hand, it makes sense if you don't have the resources to launch in many cities such as Uber, because they need the drivers first. I can also schedule a call, where I can tell you more about this as I've done a lot of apps and have a social network myself with Tennis Buddy.MK

What is the best mobile app install tracking solution? By this I mean a solution that truly (or nearly) tracks click to install of app on iOS.
Sure, it's correlative for technical reasons, iTunes / AppStore does not provide (yet, might change) a mechanism for that, so 3rd parties have to build their own. I recently discussed with people from Adjust and I was really impressed. HasOffers / MobileAppTracking seems to be a good choice as well.AJ

What day and time is best to release an app for best exposure?
The best day to launch your app is either Wednesday night or Thursday, because the iOS App Store changes features every Thursday and you may get featured that day as "New games..." "New app..." etc. Ideally all your marketing/PR/advertising efforts should start that day (Thursday) because Apple likes it when an app is being privately promoted at the same time it's being featured. Yes AdMob could work for you but please know that there are many other ad placement companies similar to AdMob that can work for you too. You need to see what kind of clients they have, if they match with your niche, etc. Usually this is a trial and error process, you start with several ads and you see which works and which doesn't, you improve, you cut them. etc. Good luckEN
