MenuWhat ways can I use to ship me "HAZMAT" product?
Answers
As a starting point, look up the product’s Safety Data Sheet (SDS). Most consumer products that come from reputable manufacturers will have a SDS that includes a transportation hazard classification for the product. This classification provides a four-digit ID number, a proper shipping name, the hazard class, and the packing group for the product. Use this information to identify the correct entry on the Hazardous Materials Table.
The Hazardous Materials Table contains references to the appropriate packaging sections, certain quantity limitations, and any special provisions or exceptions. The table also contains the label codes and basic description for the hazmat. Obtaining the correct hazard classification is the most important part of getting started with shipping hazmat. All other requirements, including packaging, marks, labels, and shipping paper requirements, will be based on the hazard classification of a product. The hazmat regulations provide classification criteria that manufacturers, shippers, and others can use to classify hazardous material. Certain types of hazmat require approval of the classification determination prior to shipment.
I'd be glad to help you out with this. I'm a certified dangerous goods and hazardous materials shipper, and am very familiar with selling on Amazon. The majority of our products are considered dangerous goods as well, so I could help you with this.

We are in the process of starting an ecommerce business. Where can I find the commercial rates for USPS to ship products to residential customers?
You will find a number of third party services that will offer you discounted USPS shipping including stamps.com, shippingeasy.com, shipstation.com, etc. Note that many of these services are getting bought up by stamps.com, which actually may end up benefiting everyone as they will have more leverage to get better rates from USPS. You'll also be able to get a discount when you use some shopping carts like Shopify.com. Bottom line - shop around and see which one will give you the best rates - the higher the volume, the better the rate!PR

If its for sales through Amazon (or even elsewhere) FBAPrep.com is one of the best out there. They can handle importing, preparation (repackaging, barcoding, etc.) and then final shipment. Plus, they know the special requirements of Amazon and other third party marketplaces.AT

How could I establish a collaborative model for transporting foods that require refrigeration?
1-Because transportation of perishable products are very specific you need to ensure there will be refrigerated facilities available at the destination which you can rent it for a short period of time. Truck company (if they have office at destination) can help out with this or find similar companies 2-Group orders with "consume by date" and delivery as a big order 3- Look for cheaper options. I mean NY sushi restaurants import fresh fish from Japan on a weekly basis, I dont think any truck company/person will care for collaboration 4- Call various shipment companies and cut a deal, I hope i get this right but what are you shipping in low quantity and costing you much money? Must look for different options or clients closer within your rangeMA
