MenuWhat's a middle ground between dropshipping and wholesaling for an ecommerce business?
I'm a purely ecom business. I don't want to buy and keep inventory but not all brands offer dropshipping options, what's a middle ground to achieve?

You can use something like Amazon FBA where you send all your inventory to one of their many warehouses around the world and they will securely store it for you. Then, when you have a sale, they will pack and ship the order to the customer for you. They even handle things like returns and customer service. I would recommend checking it out.
Create contact with unique distributor in your country that can drop ship for you while offering products not available on Aliexpress.
The middle ground here probably still requires the initial purchase of stock from your side as if it isn't being drop shipped then someone needs to hold the stock, unless you work on a just in time system. However, once this has been achieved you can create your own fulfillment and storage network delivered by a 3rd party that would prevent you from being impacted by some retailers not offering drop shipping. A 3rd party relationship with a business who can store your stock as consignment stock and deliver it to your customers may cost you some margin but it will save you from the hassle of holding stock yourself etc. So my recommendation here is sort of like an Amazon FBA model, except you replace Amazon logistics with a more affordable and smaller logistics partner to keep costs down.
Look for suppliers in your country of sale that accept dropshipping.
Look at the brands your competitors sell and reach out to them directly.
You don't need to sell all the brands in a niche, but you will want a really great collection of solid brands.
You could also start by finding smaller local manufacturers and asking if they will dropship custom products for you. Most will say no, but you really only need 1 yes for this model.
You might need to buy in advance, but you won't need to worry about warehousing.
Finding a middle ground between dropshipping and wholesaling for your ecommerce business is a smart approach. One option worth exploring is leveraging Yard Management Automation. This entails efficient management of inventory stored in a central location, providing a balance between maintaining stock and not overcommitting to inventory.
Here's how Yard Management Automation can be the middle ground you're seeking:
Centralized Inventory Management:
Maintain a centralized inventory hub where you can manage stock efficiently. This allows you to control inventory levels without the need for extensive warehousing.
Automation for Order Fulfillment:
Implement automated systems for order fulfillment. This ensures that as soon as an order is placed, the automation system takes care of the logistics, reducing the need for extensive manual intervention.
Real-time Visibility:
Yard Management Automation provides real-time visibility into your inventory levels and order processing. This helps in making informed decisions and optimizing your supply chain.
Brand Collaboration:
Work closely with brands that might not offer dropshipping but are open to collaborating on centralized inventory management. This allows you to offer a broader range of products without the burden of holding excessive stock.

How can I make a small, profitable business on Wordpress?
It sounds like you have plenty of skills to get started now. There's no need to keep re-training in different areas when you have experience to get started today. My suggestion would be to pick a niche and try and become the go-to guy in that particular niche. Let's say, for example, you are interested in men's fashion. You have experience in creating Wordpress ecommerce sites. You could call up maybe 10-15 of the local businesses in that niche in your local city/state and offer to make their website and get them in on a set-up fee and then a monthly maintenance retainer. This approach would be lower stress (because it's something you're interested in) and also because you could create a methodical framework that you could apply to other businesses in that niche. That's just one idea. Second idea - create a course on WooCommerce development and put it on Udemy (or Coursera etc). Note down 10 of the biggest obstacles you've had to overcome when building sites for friends and family and then note down 10 of the most important considerations people should consider before people get started. Now you've got 20 video lessons for your course. Charge for the course on Udemy or use it as a marketing tool to get more b2b development work. Idea 3: Go make money on freelancer.com, peopleperhour etc. Perhaps you've tried this already? Skills like yours are in demand on those platforms. Idea 4: Take the things I noted in the second idea above, and turn it into a handbook. Sell that book via Amazon. Idea 5: Go on Tweetdeck. Create a column that searches for people who are using keywords like "Wordpress woocommerce issue" "Wordpress woocommerce help" "WordPress woocommerce problem". Give them your clairty.fm link and tell them you'd be happy to have 5 minute discussion to see if you could help them resolve their problem. Idea 6: Find 10 major theme development companies. Sign up to their help or support forums. Do a similar thing to what's noted above on Twitter and offer to have a quick call via clarity.fm to see if you could help. Idea 7: Go down the route of finding existing Wordpress/Woocommerce blogs. Write posts for them about specific WooCommerce issues, problem solving or project management tips. Do this with the aim of improving your inbound consulting gigs. Idea 8: Do the exact opposite of whatever those friends are telling you. Idea 9: With your skills you could easily start a dropshipping company. I won't go into all the details here but just start looking at sites like Clickbank or Product Hunt to get a feel for something you're interested in. Build your site and start dropshipping products. https://www.woothemes.com/2015/06/dropshipping-beginners-guide/ Wordpress consulting alone, yeah it's probably quite competitive, but that doesn't mean there aren't plenty of opportunities for revenue. I think you will be even more motivated, successful and less stressed if you pick a niche industry, product or service to focus on. Enjoy it!SC

What's the best platform to build a e-bookstore?
I think a natural choice is large provides like Amazon. However, if you want to sell eBooks on your own and maintain all of the revenue, then WooCommerce and Easy Digital Downloads would make excellent options. Both software packages are WordPress plugins and they make it very easy to deploy an e-commerce store for digital goods. Both plugins have strong development teams behind them and they have a slew of independent freelancers who can offer assistance if needed. I've used WooCommerce myself for multiple years and we've deployed many WordPress websites that use it. It has hundreds of extensions you can add on to it for maximizing the potential.RG

How do I start a successful business for a beginner with a low budget? Buying wholesale then reselling? What products to start with and where to sell?
Budget is definitely important for a successful business, but it is not everything! As a young entrepreneur, I started a similar business earlier in my career selling eyeglasses on eBay. I created an eBay store, worked on advertising, and was fortunate with my results. I would love to speak with you about starting a website and marketing effectively to consumers with a very small budget. The biggest recommendation I can provide is to test different services at a low budget to see what works. Rather than spending thousands of dollars on a marketing agency, there are many services that can help your iPhone case business in marketing effectively. Feel free to reach out to me!JS

What are the profit margins for high end home decor and furniture?
Hone decor / furniture industry is one of the highest profit promising industry today. The profit margins on home decor ranges from 20% - 45% depend on the price of the product. If you're looking to get quickly popular, I suggest you start with the online store and promote it on offline as well. Keep the margins low initially so that you can attract more buyers. As the business grows, reinvest the amount back on the business so that you can stock more varieties. All the very best.KK
