Question
The advice given sounds good, but I can't help but notice that their social profiles and blogs have very little comments or sharing going on. Their social profiles are usually equally sparse, as well as the profiles of the company they work for.
And yet, they seem to be giving me clear and intelligent advice on how to implement my own content strategy. Is it that they simply aren't practicing what they're preaching? Is it that content marketing doesn't actually take much engagement to get good business results? Or is it that the advice is really simply not valid?
Answer
If the advice seems sound then its worth taking into consideration for your own strategies.
Too often, people are busy with the day to day and often neglect the building of their own brand. (including myself) There's no real excuse except the fact I haven't put it as priority over other work. Its a choice you make because it COULD potentially cost you some business but for many people, if they have enough work on their hands, building their own brand may be pushed down to the bottom of the to do lists.
